Hi all, am an Aussie, Have been reading some prior posts, and some great advice and tips have been given, wanted to say thanks, even though haven't sought help "yet" am new to welding, into vehicle rstoration, mine
, can't afford to get anyone else to do panel work, and esp Spray Painting, thought the Welding would be easy
, and the Spray painting hard, other way around, cheap Mig welder, only very basic, High or Low for Current, and 1 or 2 for the other ?, plus a dial for wire speed, I agree with others, "BOC" is a ripoff, there had my say
. Am trying to apply some of the principles described, increase amps, and wire, nearly at point of increasing speed and traction, right out the shed door and into the neighbours yrad, frutrating but I know with time and patience I will do good enough welds to pass vehicle inspections if needed, want to do some backyard work to subsidise the carers pension, sites like this where ppl really want to help are great for wannabe DIY ppl like me. Keep up the good work and thanks again. weld on
