I don't usually post stuff that isn't directly project related, but I thought this was rather good fun and a cracking afternoon out. If you're ever in Brittany I can wholeheartedly recommend a visit to the Museum of the Junkyard Poet (Univers du Poète Ferrailleur). Lots of clever automata and some buildings that look to be straight out of a Tim Burton film or something.

If you're in the area, Les Machines de l'Île in Nantes is also well worth a visit. You can have a ride on a mechanical elephant there...

We visited last year on BM recommendation,it’s clever,fascinating and enchanting,you start off in his cinema,learning of his childhood experiments,quite endearing,whilst there,he was in the workshop gas welding,I was peering through door gaps,but got no further.
