Junction box

I need to join two 10mm2 T+E and one 10mm2 3-core SWA together. Box will be indoors.

Shopping list?

- Large metal adaptable box
- Size 20 SWA gland kit
- 10mm2 crimp lug for earth tag
- Three large connector blocks, at least 40A*, two 3-way (for Ls and Ns) and one four way (for the four earths)
- some sort of plastic glands for the T+E

Before you get too far ahead, I'd have to query why you need to join the three cables together?
This sounds like a radial with branches, which generally are not ideal.

Main CU -> T+E joined to more T+E onto kitchen extension CU. I want to tee off the SWA at the join, which is only done with crappy terminal block, so can only be improved.

It’s for a workshop supply, which currently comes from the kitchen extension CU anyway.

Could also do with some tips for drilling through the rendered block wall neatly. 22mm long masonry bit should do it, and I assume aiming the hole downwards to the outside is best, for water ingress and less cable bend? Cable will go downwards once outside.

yea drill it from outside or you will blow the face off the rendering. even drilling at a bit of an angle you will have to nitch it out underneath to get the bend as tight as possible,10.0mm will take some bending and the radius wont be that tight
