best idea is to use them and then charge to full lithium like i think best to keep them as full charge as possable not like nicads or the otherbought one of these a while back, think it was recommended here?

GOOLOO GT6000 Jump Starter 6000A
START DEAD CAR BATTERIES; GT6000 car jump start pack; boost 12 V vehicles up to 12.0 L gasoline and 10.0 L diesel engines; free UK shipping.gooloo.uk
used it for the first time on Saturday starting a JCB 3cx
it didn't want to start at all in the cold, nice big battery was new last year, it was on charge overnight 2 days before, used most of a can of break cleaner as easy start
ran it pretty flat trying to start it, left it on charge for about an hour while I popped out, grabbed the jump starter from work while I was out
gave the JCB a quick try without the jump pack on, it was spinning decent enough but didn't want to fire at all, with the jump pack on it was spinning just a little faster... which was enough to fire it up
jump pack went from 100% to 85% charge (no idea how accurate that is, or if it's any good once it's down to 20% etc.)
really impressed by it... order another one so I can have one at home and one at work
What sort of overnight temps did you have ? .. What is the recommended lowest temp to use your diesel in ? Do you have any data as to what engine oil needs using at what temperature ? We used to add 1 pint of paraffin to one gallon of diesel if temps were expected to be below minus 10 oC or lower for long .bought one of these a while back, think it was recommended here?

I started my 1981 Ford 3600 on Sunday as it had not been used since July, just to give the engine a run up to temp, and give the hydraulics some exercise. What sort of overnight temps did you have ? .. Fuel companies usually have additives put in the diesel if they feel the temps will drop to below -7 oC or so , so if you have a tank full of summer grade diesel things might not be as easy to start in real brass monkey weather .
A couple of cans of ether Easy Start are also handy to have on hand when your engine is cold , old and a bit worn , a two second spray into the air filter usually see them strike up when you turn the key .
In minus 10 oC & lower we used special ether start cartridges on our bigger 30kva diesel generators when air starts were all but useless and hand starting was a very long drawn out pain filled experience .
You might like to read this , OK it's for the USA but also valid in principle here too .

The more toys you have, the more play time is used up looking after them. My Gooloo 4000 has severed me twice now, others vehicles I will add. But I do plug it in every couple of months, just to check its ready for use!It waa only -4'C ish overnight
Whatever oil that was in it when I bought it is still in it
Pump diesel i bought a couple of months ago so probably no winteriser (spel?) In it
But... it hardly gets used, and when it is used its nothing mission critical
It would be nice to take really good care of it... but there's a million other things to do first that take priority
Thanks for remindingme. My 3kva pure sinewave stand by genny is over due it's first of the month 15 minute run .The more toys you have, the more play time is used up looking after them.
