Having done some research on Jump start boxes I am finding conflicting information. Specifically a Noco GB40 on one test was very poor. I would have said useless
but another review shows it cranking a V6 time after time.
I seriously dont think the guy was faking his test nor do I feel the original test was faked BUT it could have been a defective box.
My son has one for work which cost £280 and I can't justify one for my dad at that price BUT during the cold spell and lock down he only used it sporadically, and I `need a simple to use back up for him. Being 85 he does not want to lug a battery and leads outside nor does he really want a lead acid style jump start and compressor version.
SO has anyone got any info on real life use of these boxes.
oh BTW the Audew jump starter is not readilly available in the UK although that seemed to perform the best The Noco GB40 is sold by Halfords and we have a trade card and their warranty to fall back on.
SO lets have your views and findings please?
