hello all,
I'd like to get your advice about pressure equipments which are manufactured according to TPED limits. The issue is be ensure the welding geometry.
First, we cannot align two plate face to face to apply butt welding. thus, we follow the way that the easier, lap joint method.
Second step is we need to proof the welding's volume. longitudinal and circumferential plus lap joint geometry creates the trilogy (Tee joint) and that tee joint sents us to use that radiography method to proof.
What do you think about that way ? Do we need to proof the tee joint by radiography or not ?
ps: Please dont mention the customer's procedure or third party's obligations. it's just for professional aspect of mine to proof tee joints by using that method.
