joiners?

they guy who was going to do our kitchen mods said that he will be busy for the next 10 weeks so no can do.
got a couple of numbers given by a diy store no answer from one,the other cant do mitred corners.
wife said check checkatrade.com they want £7 for the information plus my details.
so any of you guys that live in teesside area know any good joiners.
3x3 mtrs work top plus alteration to a side cupboard from 570mm to 600mm.
this is so we can get fitted cookers. also cut out for sink.
oh and remove the old tops.

Do it yourself mate,thats just basic stuff that and you,ll save a good wedge

cutting sink out is simple and if joining worktops at 90 degrees look up masons mitre (joint) if using a jigsaw make sure you use a blade that cuts on the down stroke if cutting with the laminate side up

Are you on Facebook? I popped a post on there for a joiner to do the mite joint in my new kitchen, he popped over one weekend and sorted it for beer tokens. Way cheaper than buying a 1/2" router and jig!

I would do it myself but my knees aren't so good these day's and beside I'd rather pay someone else to do the work.
if it was down to me I'd have the whole lot taken out and new fitted but the wife want to keep the units.
after all it her kitchen
at the moment things are starting to get a right ball ache to us.

most good lads wont go near that sort of work as it comes back to haunt you. Your right replace don't renovate unless the repair is real small its good money after bad the wife is wrong but I will let you tell her as I had enough of that when I was in that trade

She would,nt last long around my house...its a cross between steptoes yard and a building site at any given time...my missus cant believe i feel warm and secure living amoungst metal and living machines like a baby in the womb but being a yank she should be used to junk lying around the yard

Did someone tell her ripping out her worktop and altering a cupboard etc wouldn't make one then
