Any recommendations for where to place a job ad online? Fabricator wanted.

Seems to be lots of companies offering their services, many for daft amounts of money.

In the past when looking for full time work, the government jobsearch (job centre) web page has always been my main source of job hunting.

I looked at Monster and a couple of similar ones. Best part of 100 quid for a tiny internet advert for 2 weeks.
I've stuck an advert on Gov Job search, its linked to Business Link, seems ok. Comes fairly high on Google.

if u have email u will get plagued by jobseekers as anyone on benefits have to look for work and apply for any job even if there not welders

Don't worry, i am skilled at finding the chancers. Its quite obvious when you read CV's.

Fortnights trial period usually finds the idiots. I've broken quite a few by day two. Especially one bloke who said he was the best structural welder in Yorkshire. Got him to do a 10mm FW on some plate. Scrambled up the settings and left him to it. No chance. I have a photo of it somewhere.

Spoke to a few people this week who's CV's i had on file. 90% went straight in the bin.

I hate recruiting, a right royal pain in the bottom.

The new system that is being put in place is from monster.com (it's branded as Universal Jobmatch). The new process is that they want you to apply for jobs and then keep contacting companies you have made an application to.

Knowing this, when I need to do any future recruiting I'll make sure that there are no contact details for myself, just a generic email address.
