Hello, I've got a JCB beaver with a Honda gx240 which is hunting at idle (governor rod going back and forth like mad) and when you engage the hydraulics it stalls the engine (on demand valve works fine, thats obviously what's killing the engine).
I've rebuilt the carb with new jets, cleaned it from top to bottom about 50 times (well maybe 3 or 4
), drained and replaced the fuel, cleaned the spark plug, tried running with air filter off, tried running with fuel cap off, and nothing has helped.
If I grab the governor rod to stop it going back and forth I can make the engine run fine. Any ideas what the issue is?
