Jcb AC50 compressor cfm?

Does anyone know off hand the cfm of these? I'm wanting to get a new Snap-on/Bluepoint impact that requires around 4.2cm. http://www.diy.com/nav/fix/power-to...ixers/compressors/JCB-50L-Compressor-12718566

Had a look online but cant see cfm listed. I do want to get a bigger compressor but funds are a little tight atm so will need to make do with the JCB one for the moment.

If you work on about 3cfm FAD (NOT displacement) then it's around 6 CFM.

That won't be far wrong.

Thanks for the replies guys, I already have the jcb compressor as I was able to borrow a staff discount card to buy it.

I have a Clarke buzz gun atm and it was suposed to be 230nm or there abouts but a friends 180nm 12v impact took a crank bolt off that mine wouldn't touch....... Time to upgrade I think lol

My compressor is too small for the FAD of my ratchet gun and impact gun, however all that means, assuming the valves, regs etc from the compressor to the tool can supply enough air, is that you cannot use it continuously.

For example, if I let the compressor charge up, then use the ratchet for about 20 seconds, the compressor will kick in, and if I keep the ratchet or impact gun going, it will then run continuously, and it will never fully charge up (until I stop using the tool, obviously).


I.e, what I'm saying is that if you're a hobby user like me, then you can get away with a decent strength impact wrench and ratchet wrench even if your compressor is on the small side (as long as it will flow enough air through reg and fittings).

that JCB compressor looks to be the same as the Sealey SA5020

it has a max fad of 4.8 but I suspect at a much lower psi than your snap on impact gun will require to be effective
