Assuming it's the newer version you're looking at rather than the wse200p then http://hosting.jasic.co.uk/JT-200-315D Iss2.pdf is the owners manual... 20 - 70Hz is a bizarre AC frequency range and the "sales speak" of Full Pulse settings on AC & DC up to 200Hz turns out to be in DC only, 0.5 - 5Hz in AC. Recommended fuse rating of 40A doesn't make sense and this leapt out at me too

Yeah I've just read that 20-70 Hz is not a nice range to have, it would be more usable displacing that 50hz range 60-110.
It's 30kg in weight and as said above it's not happy running from a 13amp plug which is not a lot of use to most people.

so what are transformer welders set at?? I use a miller syncrowave at moment and that has no frequency adjustment but welds ally great, im wondering am I gonna struggle welding thin and thick ally with this set??
Transformer kit is fixed at what comes out of the wall so 50Hz in the UK, 60Hz in the States. While adjustable AC frequency is very useful it's a refinement rather than a must have like most 'bells and whistles' IMO as 90+% of the results with TIG are down to the person driving the torch...
My kit does AC frequencies from 20 - 150Hz, personally i'm not a fan of either extreme and it spends most of it's time in the 70 - 120Hz range. Increasing the frequency stiffens and narrows the arc so lets you tweak weld size. Say for example an outside corner weld that's gonna be linished out, higher frequencies make it a bit easier to produce a small weld with good pen so less time spent finishing. More commonly the benefit of higher AC frequencies are shown with a fillet weld. On the other hand (everything else being equal) lower frequencies are more efficient at putting heat into the work- i occasionally drop down to 50Hz or even 40 when i've got a big lump of ally in front of me that really needs more than a 200A machine, an Ar/He mix would be a better way to go but that means renting another cylinder of a more expensive gas that i can live without most of the time
I've never used one of these but my hunch would be if "it's" gonna struggle it'll be with arc quality compared to the Syncrowave you're used to and if that's the case it'll probably be most noticable at low amperage (say, sub 1.2mm ally/1.0mm stainless)... poor/erractic arc striking and maybe arc wander/stability issues
