Jaguar drives
I have a Optidrive 240v single phase in,415v 3 phase out, its been no bother at all, the Jag drives are more expensive than other manufacturers I have seen, but I made my choice on a recommendation and have not regretted it, it came from DrivesDirect in Nottingham.

It is indeed dual voltage hareng, i did run the machine for a few days on the yaskawa inverter i have for my lathe but had to swap it back as i needed to use the lathe.
The imo/jaguar inverters don't seem to be too expensive, i just wondered about their quality. Thanks.
Sooner pay for an established brand name Mitsubishi or Siemens unless cheap cheap. Work out cheaper too.
I certainly wouldnt recommend Drives Direct wrong advice, shocking after sales support taking many months, done me £650 for 1 1/2hrs use, £236 repair bill output blown and still havent seen it 18 months on. Had three drives but current 10kw 400V is ok.

I would also read between the lines on sales patter, maybe they were getting such devices and more profit involved.

Hareng: I bought the drives to run the motor I used in my rotary table (the same as Wyn used in his.) The topman at Newton Tesla is a really nice bloke and very very helpful. I ended up sending one of the motors to them to make sure it would do the job, they charged me nothing for that, and did a very good deal on the inverters

I can only speak from my own experiences, never ever had a problem with Dave, his advice or communication, When I bought the Jag unit it was for a 415 motor that didnt have dual voltage, I currently own 4 inverter/converters the biggest is a 71/2 Hp. Phone support night and day, 5 yr guarantee on Jag units, what more can you want.??

PS. Mind you my first purchase was from a different supplier when I wanted to power my Harrison lathe when I bought it, I didnt know any different -- took their advice and paid through the nose for a dual voltage motor and an inverter.
when i gained a bit of knowledge-realised I was totally ripped off --they said I couldnt run the 415 motor off 240 Volt.--very expensive lesson learnt.( Mitsubishi unit) had no trouble with that either. Does trip sometimes starting in a high speed RPM.

Have a look at the Inverter Drive Supermarket . If you can wire the motor in 220/230v Delta there's no need to look at any of the step up inverters.
Depending on which inverter you look at, don't forget to include the cost of an operator panel so you can parameterise it.

Slightly off topic
, but is there a digital readout scale that can do angles of rotation on a rotary table ? I have a nice quality rotary table but its old and the markings on it aren't great.You can import such a control box kit from US, trouble is cant think what theyre called.
Meant for dividing tables and such like.
Hows about repetitive calls over 4 months Stan. Eventually did get a call back and the initial talk through prior to startup. 1 1/2hrs later shot.

I'd have no problem recomending IMO drives (Jag / Cub / VXSM) I believe they may be rebadged Fujitsu units (at least the smaller ones). When I worked for my last company they were the first choise.
As the units were shipped all over the world they needed to be reliable.
Easy to program and opperate from the front panel.

I`m ever so sorry you have not had satisfaction from Dave, as I said my own personnal experience has been 100%, even talked me through and confirmed by e mail wiring up a unit I hadnt bought from him, a second hand one which had his company nameplate on, + a sine wave.
