I would bother. Its a pain in the backside to lift a vehicle off of its wheels on a ramp. With my 4x4s I can use the wheels free beams but these sit too high to use on a low car and are only really that useful for vehicles with a ladder chassis or beam axles. My D3 never feels that stable using the wheels free beams as the chassis rails curve in at the rear and so the beams arent that far apart at the point they support the chassis. Sure, a beam will get in the way sometimes but for most common jobs (i.e. brakes, shocks etc etc) and most of the time, it wont.to be honest i wouldnt bother with a jacking beam
they do get in the way and its just another cost to add to your lift
with many cases you need the jacking beam out of the way so your back to axle stands so in that case id rather use a standared hydraulic jack
if anything a plate from one ramp to the other ramp is more important
