Iveco van 35S12 HPI on a 53 plate

Me Van has started giving a problem. The dash is dead no speedo no rev counter when i last turned it off the gauges all stayed where they were when running. other than the speedo which zeroed. the rev counter is at it's ticker 800 rpm. it just will not reset. it played up when my son borrowed it. when i went around to collect it all worked ok. stopped to fuel up (Son has no idea where the fuel cap is) it never re set got home ok. kept checking it then a couple of days later the dash instruments all zeroed and it all worked fine. I went over to bristol yesterday all fine stopped when there no reset nothing working on the drive home. so no dash illumination no fuel gauge no temp gauge no speedo. when accelerating to join the motorway the injector light came on van still run fine and i have had a look at earths today. sill not working. Anyone all fusses are ok it's an intermittent one.

Could be anything from a poor connection or poor earth to a faulty instrument cluster.

I would start by checking all earths or substitute a known good cluster if possible

Done the earths this afternoon well all the ones i could find thanks it may be the dash cluster. heaven knows how that comes out LOL.

Normally 5 million screws and plenty of swearing! And hidden fixings nowhere near the bit you want out .

Shouldn`t really laugh but I had a Transit that had a slight overheating issue Strange how my guys managed to save their lunch bags and phones but not any of my kit

We have one at work same problem. Will ask tomorrow what it was. As it’s not long been fixed.

Sod using unleaded fuel i have some red diesel here its cheeper get it of the local farmer. Thanks chaps at least you made me laugh bunch of i will leave that to you lot. The fault is permanent now so it has progressed luckily it still runs i need the dam thing for me fire wood forever feeding that black box in the chimney.stuvy Pm ON its way

I hadn’t forgotten just been manic with work

The lads from the garage said they had to google it and this was what they found and sorted it.

Saying that under 20 mph the speedo doesn’t work and it doesn’t cut out like it used to when slowing down
