Iveco 35c15 timing belt or chain?

A mate has a 2012 Iveco 35c15 tipper, it's got the 3L engine. He's asked me about doing the timing belt as it's come up to 80k miles, so I've been looking around online and can't find any definitive information as to whether it has a belt or chain. Most places offer both for this vehicle.

Does anyone on here know?

It depends on the engine code, but I think the 3L were all chains.

If you take the top plastic cover off, you should be able to tell if the front end is just a plastic cover to protect the belt, or a sealed cover to keep oil in.

Don't trust em. Fuel filter didn't fit my iveco
Ended up removing the old filter. Logging it's details and refitting it

F1CE3481 engines are all chain drive.
