I found a sorry looking three drawer tool box. A couple of welds, a bit of dent knocking, repair of the drawers and a lock and a coat of paint with some old red Hammerite smooth and I have a nice tool box. Stuck a bit of ply on the bottom to stop it scratching things.
The morticer had come off the runners and lost all the ball bearings and also had a broken plastic depth stop. Found some ball bearings of the right size and fed them back into the runners and made a metal depth stop which probably works better than the correct one.
The pillar drill didn’t work because the safety switch was duff. Fixed that and have a pillar drill in the garage and now in the new shed.
The cantilever tool box is a Techno and just needs a clean up. It had some real Venus brand pencils in it. The two wire brushes are brand new and still have the £2.15 price tag on. Had some more drills in it so I’m never going to run out of drills after the last skip haul.
Does anyone know what the three drills are? The angle of the tips are too sharp for masonry drills but they are tipped.
I rescued a load of new wood and brand new flooring too!
I love the things people chuck out.
