I've had all the floors up and replaced the very old insulation (1990?) between the garage and front first floor bedrooms, continued with rewiring the power sockets.
I finished relaying the chipboard floor yesterday evening, all I had to do today was fill in the channels in the wall for the new sockets wiring and fix the floor down....
I have used a plastic conduit layout for the ring main sockets (easy maintenance with 125mm excess caps), because I hate having to pull floors up to do wiring and being as one of my sons will probably end up inheriting the place.
So I filled the channels in the walls, time to fix the chip floor down, as in most cases over the years things have moved, shrunk and squeaks appear, so time to screw the floor down.....
So off I go, lined out the joists runs, time to fix the floor down no more squeaks.....
..... doing great....screw goes in speeds up then slows down.....
Screw straight through the 22mm central heating pipe..... £*$% $^$&
It's just not my day, today.......
