My mother in law burns candles all the time, I’ve told her about the fire risk but also told her they are not as clean burning as she thinks they are, her ceilings, kitchen tiles are black with the smoke, she’s constantly washing ceilings, redecorating, if it was me I would ban them, We only used to get them out when there was a power cut....

And I love them.....but being sold for a ridiculous price and when you can make your own for free...
Also they were so dry I cannot imagine they'd last long...which is great for the retailer I guess :-)

You've never seen someone light an oil lamp inside then... Good if you want to see the location of the rafters in the ceiling and EVERY plasterboard screw!

Must say, I do like to watch a flame. Rarely use candles or paraffin lamps though.
