This is pretty crazy how this guy rebuilt the most terrible condition engine. Made his own head gasket etc too doesn't seem to have had a single shop bought part added.

This really is one of those "watch until the engine" videos.

Thought it interesting he spent that much time on that engine. I'd guess he ran it with no engine oil or filter either.

Its just to make the video for clicks. The average wage in some countries is so low that you can earn a good living making stuff like this for even the miniscule amount youtube pays per hit.
It doesn't matter that the result is terrible or his home bodged cambelt bearings caused the belt to snap at the end and re-destroy the engine, it just kept you there for the duration to earn the max revenue.
The goal isn't a running engine, its a youtube video. Your views are the product being sold.
