I realise they have some good feedback but let's just say I know of a company on ebay with better feedback scores than that and I know how they get rid of lots of negative comments..........the bit about customer service is crucial....it's easy to box shift .

I have seen this sellers place in Blackburn, Just a warehouse full of various sized boxes operated from a portacabin, Looks like they shift a fair amount of stuff. Don't know what the returns policy is, but judging by the feedback they must get quite a lot,

Yes he is nothing more than a box shifter, in fairness though his negative feedback percentage is not too bad, especially when you consider the equipment he sells and the buyers who buy equipment well beyond their skills to use it and then blame the seller.

At least he is in the UK so a buyer has full Ebay/Paypal protection and I am not up to speed but think Paypal is now 180 days or something similar.

Also if you pay through a credit card on the buy it now page, the credit card company is responsible for over £100 purchases.

So all in all a failed machine may give you a bit of hassle posting back and claiming but financially you should be ok.

I am obviously not saying this is applicable to everybody operating like this, but I have in the past seen this used as a crooked dodge for when items get returned - Trading Standards come round and discover they're technically operating from a different place at the other side of the yard and then drop it, and the crooks win again.

If there is any way to be safe with this kind of deal it's through PayPal or a credit card.

The seller has a feedback of almost 37000 so he,s bound to have a few bads..hell ive had a bad myself over a wannabe scammer and ruined my 100%. Ive bought off this seller and never had a problem but be warned he does or he did then have another ebay account for all his returned machines and tools

These managers assist in removing feedback.....I know as I used to deal with these managers....there are other methods they employ to get rid of, and ensure they don't get , bad feedback even if they sell ×÷=%_

That is NOT SAYING this guy IS a bad seller but just that I would never ever trust the ebay feedback system to indicate the performance of an eBay seller.

I think it's scandalous. ...I know a seller had 26 negs for one month within 2 days of phoning round and emailing it cost them just over 100 quid to get it down to 2 which most people expect them to have anyway. .

200 amp I think and they also sell them from their own site for about the same price. So all the patter about the last few can be ignored.

People have bought Giant brand on here and the quality seems very variable. Some people think the AC/DC TIG sets have been absolutely brilliant and have gotten a couple of good years use out of them until they could afford something better, others have found they are nothing but trouble.

I suppose it depends how much you need an AC/DC TIG and how big to you is the difference between £385 and the price of something more likely to be reliable and with better support. I wouldn't like to think I'd bought one new, but picking one up for spares and repair for £30 as a repair project would interest me.

Ive owned one of there 250 migs under the Giant brandname and it was one of the best mig welders ive ever owned for the price..there Tigs i cant comment on as never owned.
