I'm going to start welding again after an interval of about 10 years! For my last projects I used a borrowed mask. This time I have a mask I was given about 6 years ago. I could do with an opinion on whether its suitable etc.
The mask is an Optrel Twisty Comfort with an auto-darkening lens. When I look at house lights the lens darkens. There are two solar panels; one has got a couple of 'bubbles', where it looks like it is delaminating - although as it still works, I assume that's no problem.
The lens darkens to either 10-11 or 11-12. My first project will be a workbench out of 2.5mm box and angle using my old Clarke 150 MIG welder. Is the lens suitable for this sort of work?
The front cover screen (not the lens) is a bit scratched - I assume this isn't a problem?
Sorry if these are rookie q's, but I want to be safe and not sorry.
