Will it do same job as expensive helmet or do you get what you pay for?

Itll work, but you do get what you pay for, better lens, larger viewing area, better head gear, lighter etc.

I dont doubt it will work ,,,

I pay more for an outer clear lens for some masks , so work from there.

I've recently bought one, I've been using it for about three weeks, and I can't fault it. I had to pay twenty quid for mine, but I won't hold a grudge if you get it for fifteen.

PS I also bought a SIP for about £38 from Toolstation and I'd recommend that as well.

We bought the Lidl equivalent and find it pretty good. I can't say how Lidl/Aldi compare to top end auto dimming helmets but I think you'll find it a decent step up from non dimming. Keep your receipt and take it back if you're not happy with the performance.

I got one a few years ago. It's fine, but struggled to trigger when I way playing with TIG on thin stuff at low amps, so I ended up getting a more expensive one with 4 arc sensors.
