So I've only done about 90 miles of greenlaning in a standard 4x4 so an absolute novice. Not once did I get over 2500rpm and that was only to get out of a water hole. No spinning of tyres and left it in high ratio 99% of the time. Passed plenty of walkers and idled past wound the window down and said hello or thank you if they stepped off the path or stopped to let them walk past.
They are byeways open to all traffic so as long as everyone is courteous life should be good.
Sadly not everyone is courteous.
