Is there a website..if not it's a great idea?

might be stupid and there might already be a website, but a website that someone who wants something ordered or built/made/manufactured or whatever, they go to a website.

They post up what they want, let's say a man wanting a dog run made @ 8ft x 6ft, and welders see this job and make him the offer for it.

Would make people like us welders, wanting to start by ourselves instead of a factory welder, a lot easier.

Unless something like this already exists??

Hmm, I didn't even think of that So true, well there goes that idea

I don't know all the skills on offer, but when I wanted a new set of steps built I posted the job details on the site and got a response (and a decent set of steps)

A few years ago I subscribed to a site called MyHammer where people post all kinds of jobs and people who can do the work bid for the job. Not much metalwork on there at the time I was looking though, so I gave up with it.
