last time I bored between centres I clamped the item to the cross slide, with the rear toolpost in place , then I put an old
alternator strap across one of the traveling steady holes and a threaded hole in the rear toolpost.
I just lined minalittleitem up and realised I forgot about locking the cross slide and I just so happen to have two rear
toolposts and the one with the hole to strap it to the carriage is not the one I have on the lathe.
