hi welders,
I'm after some help please.
About a year ago i bought a brand new regulator, a twin gauge, single stage one like this:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ARGON-GAS-WEL...753?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item5d2ad073e1
I hadnt used it much when i leant it, along with a brand new 10l bottle of gas to someone. I've now got it back. My mate told me when he turned it on, the pipes were blowing off...hence all the gas was gone.
I tried it today with a new bottle of gas and its as if the regulator is just a valve, if its turned on, no matter how gently, it just blows the pipes off if the trigger is closed on the welder, so doesn't seem to be regulating anything.
Is there anything i can check on these to see whats going on? Is there some diaphram in there thats gone? If so, can anyone advise how to get it fixed/repaired or is it not worth it.......or......am i being thick and just doing something daft, not having used it for year.
thanks a lot!
