I haven't used my welder in a year and I'm a newbie just starting to tackle my VW Camper, when I set it up today I could hear gas escaping from the reg, when I looked closer it looks like a pressure let off valve.
What seems to be happening is that when the tap to the bottle is open, no matter what I do with the regulator to the MIG, the pressure just goes off the scale on the gauge and then it starts leeking out of a little brass nipple on the side of the reg.
When I start to weld, the pressure drops down to about 4-6 ltr per whatever it is, when I stop the pressure goes up and its starts leaking again.
Any ideas?
