Is it worth getting an Automig 180mx ?

Hi im new to the forum but ive been to look at an MX in someones shed. I havent seen it weld as it looks like the liner in the torch lead is ******ed as i can only feed abit of wire into it.
I did get the wire feeder motor working after some fiddling so i know it clicks on and feeds but as i say i cant feed it to weld .

I found the manual and parts list on migatronic and pretty surprised it still exists! Ive also looked at euro torch conversions on ebay 70ish quid with the switching solenoid valve for the gas but the automig might already have one??

Number 9 on the parts list 73420003 is a solenoid valve with connection piece
or is this the solenoid valve i need or entirely something else?

migatronic usually operate the gas via a solenoid so it will have one already

Oh i right as i was suspecting so that makes it abit cheaper on conversion bits

Im supprised it needs a euro gun conversion, I have had the same machine for the last 20 years (I bought it second hand!) and it had the standard euro connector and a Bernard gun.
Its been a fantastic machine and still is.

It doesnt have a euro connector its just straight out of the machine
it has a 120d torch. I've now bought the welder, only £40 and ive cut into the lead to find no liner so looks like its been pulled out.
Also noticed the gas tube is only 10" long not sure how good that is. But anyway
I found these torches on ebay the mb25 looks to have a different shroud
does it matter?

Bought the mb15 eurotorch in the last link just waiting for it to turn up now.
Hope its just the trimming of the casing thats going to be the hard part and not the wiring

Got it all working now and it performs really well with the borrowed gas from work
Needs a bracket made up to hold the feeder tube sometime then some paint to make it look new'ish. But on the whole pretty pleased and might do some private jobs with it.
