Forgive the spelling of "Alli" above My grandson,s mini motor bike has a small hole in lower frame but it does not state on its id plate wether its steel or alluminium? any sensible easy way of finding out?

No it's aluminium with one l If it's a Chinese mini moto or pit bike it's probably a very poor quality thin steel tubing, is it round section ?

Take a photo of any of the welds and put it up on here
You can see straight away just from the welding if it’s aluminium or not.
