I have a cheap Chinese 3 Kw/4 HP one that cost less than £100 and it works faultlessly powering my mill, lathe, drill and various other bits of kit. Runs from a 13 amp plug.
The only thing that lets it down is the Chinglish manual supplied with it but there are better translations available on the net.
It gets used weekly and has done for a couple of years now.
This is the one I have:Make links
There must be some Chinese ones to steer clear off
Generally you wouldn't run a 3 phase welder as they would require 440v 3 phase and these kick out 230v 3 phase, but you can run a suitable 3 phase motor providing it is 230v compatible.Hmmmm could you run a 3 phase tig welder off that?
Or use it to control a single phase lathe motor form a single phase supply?.

I defaulted the inverter first and changed around 3 settings I think, number of poles, size in KW and maximum speed. Really easy to do.may i ask if you used default factory settings or did you program this drive your self?
I think that's a error in copying the wrong Detail Parameter into the add as the rest of the add, including the title, states 220v plus the 380v inverters are more expensive.Hmm, title says 240v input but text in the ad says 380v input contact us for item stock on 240v input. I'd check with them before buying just in case.
