There are basically two types of common welding machines;
One... utilises a wire-wound transformer...
Inverter based machines use electrical components

So if i am understanding this correctly, there can be an inverter MIG, inverter TIG or even a inverter stick set, is that correct?
Are inverters better at welding than the traditional sets? or are they just the same?
Are they any more reliable?
Are they cheaper to buy?
Or is it the lightness of the machine, that is the up side?
