I'm using a 200HF at the moment and it's brilliant.Hi
They said that the pulse has caused problems on the PHF they said the HF and 180MA are fine so they were going to sell me a cheaper unit. I can get a 200PHF for £495 + vat and I was just looking to see if anyone had any problems before I purchase it.
Do you use the TIG on your 200HF

I've only used TIG on the 200HF. I'm just a beginner - been trying to learn TIG for years using an old Syncrowave and finally decided it must be faulty, so have a loan of the 200HF at the moment. Not sure whether the Syncrowave was faulty or whether the IFL is just much more forgiving, but it's done the trick!
200PHF is a great dc welder, I have one, best ever I have used, but tryed to learn tig and made one mess after the next, burned tungstons etc then the HF start failed on the welder, I should send it back to Mig Tig Arc where I bought it from before the 2 year guarantee ends in june but I use it so much and don't think I will ever need tig really.
where did you get quoted those sort of prices?? They seem to be way higher than that. Only fuel prices seem to have risen that higher% in 18 months lol
Could you be so kind as to give us an update on how you are now getting on with the Inverter Fusion 200HF after nearly two years use please??

It was on loan and went back after the tutorial was finished. I did like it a lot and would have bought it and kept it had I not wanted AC for aluminium too.
Inverters are generally a lot easier to use than old transformer based TIGs and I've not tested enough of them to offer useful buying advice other than you won't regret buying the IFL - even I can weld well with it.

I was given wrong information and you have just clarified it for me. I actually need to weld aluminum so I need to look for a sensible priced AC machine.

I used the invertor fusion for 3 year without problem but just recently upgraded to a oerlikon 1500 citig ac/dc for ali welding which would also work for you, they are a very good machine made by air liquide the rrp is about £1800 but i picked up an ex-demonstrator for £1150 with all brand new gauges torch leads 12 month warranty etc was a good buy.
