Invertec 270 tig welder

Doing some research and came across this on ebay

Can't figure out why it's so cheap.
Is there something I'm missing? I've seen a similar one for £2473 on http://punchout.buckandhickman.com/.../category-is-WE02+Electric/product-is-1009301 without the torch.

No association with the seller BTW.

It's funny, ive got ten of these and I'm trying to sell an ex rental one to a customer at the moment (with a cooler, pedal, torch reg flow meter etc) for over twice that money and he pointed out there were ones on eBay for silly cheap. Oh well, it will just have to stay on the rental fleet a little longer I guess...

What's the difference between the 270T and the 270TP?

Are they any good?

There are various suffixes used on the invertec range...
S = stick/lift TIG with valved torch (no gas solenoid etc)
T = TIG with HF start/stick
P = pulse (upto 300Hz)
2V = dual voltage, note that means 230/400 3 phase or 115/230 single phase for the 205 and smaller
AC/DC suffix is self explainatory, no others used as the AC/DC models have everything (and offer pulse upto 500Hz)

Personally i don't think that's especially cheap as it's DC and 3 phase only i.e. much smaller market for it. I've had a v205-t ac/dc for eons and can't fault it, it's survived being dropped from about waist height and the one time it's played up resetting it's software fixed it
