Invertec 135-s any Good ???

Hello welders,

Been tempted by a good price for one of these little inverters, just wondered what peoples thoughts where on the machine??

Is there good parts back up with this brand ?

Whats the machines limit, steel thickness wise ?

Will it handle a 3.2mm rod ?

Ive also noticed that it has a 2 pin plug on it at the moment, will i just cut this off & put a 3pin plug on for uk use ?

Hope somebody can shed some more light on this for me.

If you look here there is a data sheet which says what electrodes you can expect to burn (I wouldn't have thought Lincoln would exaggerate the machines potential like some might).

It looks like the 135, being the baby of the range, doesn't have some of the features of the other Invertec machines.

If my memory seves me well these are not made by Lincoln. I think they are Selco rebadged.
Mind you even I dont trust my memory these days and Ive just come back from the pub.

Have a look at selco and compare..........I dont know who sells Selco in the UK

Thanks for the info guys much needed to make my mind up.

Im gonna purchase the little beast, im sure it will be more than man enough for my hobby usage looks a neat bit of kit too.

Only thing that still boggles my mind is will it be ok to change the two pin plug to a uk 3pin?
