When I lived in the Philippines, they would come in at night and catch other insects, and each other. Kids would fight them.

Also had lizards on the ceiling doing the same thing. Some sort of Gekko.

They are fascinating to watch. They move at glacial speed while stalking, but strike so fast that you don't really see it.

Before my time really but my mum always used to go on about them and I think I have seen the one (I think) you're on about.

we wanted to watch that prog as a kid.....
My mum said it was dangerous...hahaha....really she was scared poo less.....
I'll try to get a photo of a baby one.....Mantis...
and we also have geko's on the outside cieling at night.....
when we first came here there were many Geko's living in the electric meter box....inc open egg cases...
near my machines I have a large cupboard for cutting tools and Micrometers etc....anything special...
the Geko's live in there as well now...

Vivid colours? It was black and white on our television in the 1950s. You youngsters.
