That is so scary i have just gone into the bedroom and turned off the camera i have pointing at my bed with the zoom lens i had fitted.
We installed an IP camera system and when i installed the NVR and it all auto setup scanning my network to find cameras and authenticate with them i immediately had concerns how it did it. The cameras themselves can serve as a single server the all use the same ports and passwords, i spent time going through theml changing the standard settings and locking them down as it was so open. I also locked down external access to the NVR recorder so only my devices can access them through my home VPN. In some cases plug n play is not the most secure way to go,
