International 434 operation

Hey peeps. I'm just looking for some info on controls for an international 434. I've got the basic op of the three point linkage and loader hydraulics (via wee knob on rhs of g/box plus quadrant lever. )
There's another wee lo/high knob on lhs and other couple more levers etc. Are these for pto speed etc? Or what?

434s were way before my time earliest internationals I had anything to do with were 1056s and 1255, but im guessing you've got maybe a spool valve or two, has it got duel leavers for position draft on the quad this maybe what the knobs for draft sensativity.... unlikely that a 40 something HP tractor would have a 540/1000 PTO...

If you could take a pic I'm sure I could soon tell you what they all did...

Hey Snowy. Tbh, it's pretty simple and I think I've worked it out. However we think it could do with a touch of hydraulic oil, but not sure where the filler is.... There's a plug to right of and below the seat- two holes for a grinder-type spanner. Likely contender?

doesn't just fill through the dipstick does it? allot did, I would expect a plug to either have a hex or take a standard spanner anything with a pin housing would cry realif valve to me but could be wrong, hydraulics and trans all in one on those? if so your need the recommended oil or the equivalent there full of friction modifiers and like to take the extreme pressures but keep them thin to allow them to be pumped, Internationals/case have been using Hi-Tran oils for donkeys in the back end (think international harvester had there own oil field once a pona), but all the mfrs make super oils to the spec needed..

No Matt, I wish. It's herselfs moms place a few miles north of Christchurch. A bit of a horse ranch kinda thing going on. No bloke about the place the now, so I've turned up and there seem to be one or two jobs to do...

I think the filler is behind the seat on the right hand side if you stand behind the tractor, you may have to tip the seat forward. I think it is a square drive to take a half inch tee bar or ratchet.
Don’t think there is a dip stick, think you’re supposed to measure down through the filler.
The oil for the hydraulics is separate from the trans oil, and it leaves the reservoir below the seat by your right leg near where you spotted the item with the 2 holes in. There is a suction filter on this pipe. The pump is on the front right hand side, if you are low on oil when place worth checking is the front seal on the hyd pump, it can leak into the engine sump.
