Was doing a search on lap welding and from the general concensus it seems that if the car's a keeper then lap welding is a no no. I'm planning on replacing my nova rear 1/2's shortly and thought laping the joint would make sense (from a clean line perspective) just making sure a ruddy good bead of good quality sealant was used on the back.
However I then saw these intergrip thingies on another post (can be seen here - http://www.frost.co.uk ) and was wondering if anyone has used them and what are they like.
Seem reasonable and the rear 1/4 is going to be one of them jobs thats akward to get the old clamps in.
So - butt or lap and intergrips - worth it?
