Step drills and a cone drill too - My last set of step drills from them are still going strong.

IR thermometer for me and those dungarees might catch a few cutting disk sparks rather than my fleece..
There's even a gas-less MIG for £80

Those folding sack barrows are handy. Have an identical one and happily shifts washing machines and fridges around a kitchen.

The set of three step drills I got last year were a disappointment, lost their edge in no time at all.

They are fun, I have no idea how accurate they are but useful to have around...

I have the stepper drills too and they does really quickly compared to the screwfix

My dad always gets bits for me from there. Some of the bits I have and will never use other bits are used almost every day like the £40 3/8 impact gun Iv got

Yes, my step drills were a disappointment sadly, but then at that price what was I expecting?

Step drills from Aldi (not Lidl, although I would have expected them to come from the same supplier) have been excellent - all the spares I bought at the same time as the originals some years ago are unused.

You do need to let them cut, and lube them when using in thick stuff, not hammer them through - as soon as you blunt one step of course, you're knackered for getting through to the next one.

The IR thermometers with the red dot showing where it is pointing are rather excellent for exercising/tormenting cats - they HAVE to follow the dot. Mine, sound asleep or not, or in the other room, know the sound of the trigger being pulled and come running.

It does however mean I can't check the wood burner flue temp any more . . .

I always use Rocol cutting fluid or the Tool Station one that comes in a giant lipsalve type tube.
I guess that I am used to the likes of CK step drills which eat their way through 2MM stainless in no time and last for ages, it was an experiment buying the Lidl step drills which did not work out for me.

I am awaiting the 12v mini cutter and the 12v impact gun to come back in stock.

But do like there 20v range also. For a hobby tool does eat I need it to for the little it will get used.

Do think a infra red thermometer may be handy

Ah yes, I would be amazed if the £50 Rocol ones were not considerably better than Lidl's finest!
I use the very sticky wd40 brand cutting oil from TS that seems to do a good job and catches the swarf too.

Pleasantly surprised with the Aldi step drills when putting some holes in stainless sheet.
