We currently outsource most of our production welding, which is primarily jig based high volume stuff on tube lasered components. Same thing over and over again. We probably spend 20k a month on average on welding so there is plenty of work.
We have a young employee who is keen to learn to weld and we are keen to support him.
As a starting point we want to send him off for an intensive course so he starts off without bad habits and can see if he actually likes it.
Has anyone got any recommendations for a training provider? Ideally we’d send a pallet of the stuff he’ll actually be welding plus the production jigs so he’ll learn on the real thing.
We are south west based but he could travel anywhere.
Secondly is there anyone in the South West who does consulting on this kind of stuff and would do some on site training? We are not totally green but high volume production welding is slightly different to my past experience bodging farm machinery back together…
Thanks
