Insulation thoughts?

Does the collective have any thoughts or opinions on this style of insulation?
I assumed it was another roll of bubble wrap until i looked closer.....

I used something similar for the bits of our van I couldn't get PIR into. It's been out of sight / out of mind ever since, so I guess it works. It'll stop condensation on the metal, at least.

I did finally find a u value for it - slightly better then a window, but nowhere near as good as proper insulation, if it's insulation you need if it for.

It came up as an offer on scamazon.
Thought it was bubble wrap, which i am highly sceptical of.
Got me wondering if something along these lines plus, say, some sort of rockwool would be a good practical option

Also involved with work on a friend's classic camper which is coated hardboard lined, bit suspect little space behind for insulation

Don't use rockwool in a camper. It settles when you are driving and it all ends up at the bottom of the cavity.

I helped a friend line his VW crafter and we did it with 50mm kingspan and used expanding foam in the gaps.

Looks like a thin, knock off version of armaflex. The armaflex is excellent, not as high insulation values as something like Kingspan/celotex but very practical. I used a combination of armaflex, celotex and rockwall(for rib voids). My camper was designed for winter use in the alps, so it depends on your design and usage. There is no use imho going over the top with insulation, if you will have an open cab/ lots of glass windows and use it only in the mild months.

For my camper I used the silver foil bubble wrap stuff spray glued straight to the metal, followed by a layer of plastic based insulation which doesnt absorb moisture, also spray glued on so it doesn't move, then a third layer of the silver bubble wrap stuff over the top, again spray glued on and fully taped as a vapour barrier. Then ply lined and stretch carpeted over the top.

I used quite a lot of spray glue, but its been used in all weathers and through 6 UK winters with no problems, and stays toasty warm.
