In case anyone wondered what was inside one of the Clarke MIG 145 I thought I'de take a photo or two while I was modifying the gas input on mine (putting a proper gas set up on it instead of one of the thin plastic tubing. Here's what I found:
Over all It seems well built minus the very hobby level gas input. The only other thing that lets this piece down is the circuitry. Although basic the parts are no-name chinese (Which is what you would expect at this level) You can also see the fuse in there which is something worth noting if the machine plays up. The only thing on the circuit which lets this down is the mosfet (An electrical switch which puts out a good amount of heat) is placed next to the capacitor there which will cause it to dry out during use!
Hopefully someone finds this info usefull!
