Bigger holders require bigger inserts. Got a Pdf somewhere details what everything means.

Also can buy for different materials too. Have a few Ali inserts somewhere and they do make a difference.

Yes different sizes. Those iscar is linked to earlier are really lovely. But I've not got many spares in 06. Only 09 sorry.

I've found a pack of 10 iscar parting inserts for 45 and a pack of 10 sandvik ccmt inserts for 22 do they sound like good prices

@Hood is yer man on this topic.
He told me exactly what I wanted and I followed the instruction to the letter. Absolutely bang on advice. I buy korloy and tungaloy.
Don’t be tight with inserts. You’ll pay between 3-5 quid a piece for good ones. Which is a dam sight cheaper than spending £1 a piece on crap ones.

I use/buy Sandvic when on offer but also used the ones from China....sometime u get some rubber ones but not often....
Not doing production work so it don,t really matter.....
