I've already got the tools I just need some inserts the glanze inserts I bought wit my tools just didn't last they just wore away and I bought some of eBay but they never turned up
I suppose but it's just a expensive way a pack of parting inserts are 50 and the sandvik ccmt inserts are 35Pick a good brand and test em out. Buy a different brand until your happy,
Had good results with the glanze tbh.I suppose but it's just a expensive way a pack of parting inserts are 50 and the sandvik ccmt inserts are 35
Thanks mate.
The inserts that came wit them were fine I'm still using some now it's the replacement inserts I bought of them that are rubbishHad good results with the glanze tbh.
Sure double boost did a review on banggood inserts last year. Might be worth hunting it down.
I have to agree with you, the ones that came with the Glanz tools were good but the replacement ones were easily damaged, one split into laminates of carbide the way slate or sand stone is split. I have not experimented with quality inserts, @Richard. did a good right up on the ones he has been using. I bought some cheap ones from Amazon which were about the same as the Glanz ones from RDG (?) but half the price, Jenny at http://www.jbcuttingtools.com/01246-418110 supplied the parting off inserts that I used to modify the MT1 sleeve, one of them coped with the hardened steel ok but eventually dulled, as I suppose you would expect. I bought replacements from John's (Double Boost's) review of the Bang Good ones but I am yet to try them. The inserts that came wit them were fine I'm still using some now it's the replacement inserts I bought of them that are rubbish
I was going to say @doubleboost cuts stuff every week with his bangood parting tool and it looks mint.Had good results with the glanze tbh.

It's a ccmt tool holderI've been using these although mine don't look like that at all. What size tool holder are you using as I may have a few sandvik laying around that I could send you to try out.
