info on clarke 180

i noticed that weldequip no longer sell Clarke 160TM machines so i headed to ebay for a browse and this came up

had anyone got any duty cycle info on it or anyone got one and have any general info about reliability?

We only do 4 x 9 hours nights so finish at 0545 'til 1315 on Monday,nice long weekend off

the last place i worked we did Sunday night to Thursday night, that was much better than Monday to Friday here. IM back in 2pm Monday but have just been told that we are all looking at short time working so next time in on nights we will finish 6am fri morning then have to be back in 5.30 til midnight fri afternoon

If you click on the Clarke migs it mentions he no longer sells then, perhaps would be a good idea to remove them from show, it's been like that for a while now.

Unless it's a search engine tactic of course.

That looks like the new Chinese Clarke welders.

Notice it only goes down to 40 amps. The original 180xx went down to 30.

I see now, I suspect it is a marketing tactic rather than search engine one as in

Look, we used to sell these but have stopped now so maybe you should buy one of these other nice welders instead....

I have one of them welders and bought it from the same place Chronos LTD. Its a good Machine but do use good quality wire in it. Pics of it can be seen here if you want. Duty is good I have done some very long welds with it at max amps and its not timed out on me yet. I had the side off it to look at the fan and its a large mains powered PC style fan not one of the bent tin on a motor things.
