Something a bit different for a change, this is a bar in a shop, used as a drinks station for the staff and for serving wine etc to customers,
Lurking under the plastic sheets is a little drinks fridge, my mission to provide a shelf above the fridge for a coffee machine, and fill in the gap up to the wall.
First a nice sturdy shelf from stainless, this machine is not light, the customer fitted this, and plumbed in the machine.
Then for the panel, make an aluminium frame faced with 8mm mdf pop riveted on, the gap at the bottom is to provide a bit of ventilation for the fridge.
Then tile it with 1mm bright annealed stainless sheet, this part was quite time consuming, the shine is lightly taken off with scotchbrite to try and match the existing bar, all screws are stainless steel.
The shelf and coffee machine in place.
And the infill panel, just held in place by 3 angle cleats and self tappers.
