I made this herb garden for my mum some time ago, as she'd always wanted one. It has supplied plenty of flavourings for roast dinners, potato salads and more.
It's way, way overbuilt and would provide structural support to the herbs even if there was a huge earthquake or direct nuclear strike, but oh well.
It has adjustable feet so that it can be levelled.
In the process of planting it early this year:
As you can see, without a decently large flat surface (the garage floor has several inches of fall across it and also is very bumpy), I had to get a bit creative getting it square and lined up:
