Indian Motorcycle Rally

Did site management for Indian Motorcycle Rally in the Scottish borders last weekend. Amazing machines, some from the 1920s,30s etc. If you're into bikes, here's some pics

Quite right Chunko'. Pic two - the 1930 something wee Indian Scout was my fave of the rally. The military number rocked too.
There are a couple of Co's making Indians now. There was a boy from Gloucester with a modern 100 cu inch (1638cc) vee twin, and also on site, a couple of new 4-in line 110cu inch jobs (one which got dropped going round a gravel corner, ouch). Why?

I agree, vintage machinery is to be used and enjoyed. I find Concours d'Elegance boring and the people who polish rocker cover nuts rather sad!

Thanks for the pics Simon, my old boss used to love Indians, he showed us some photos a magazine took of him riding a police version down the Aston expressway!

D team invited us down for Indian meet (Saturday) fantastic day, thank you Si!
We took plenty pics, I've been meaning post into a folder, will do this soon tho.

Regarding newer Indian models, while talking to a group from France, I asked if they are still being produced, which they are but, Harley engines are the power units, so for the real Indian enthusiast, to have a new-ish Indian is, in view of the group we talked, riding a Harley!!

Large group over from Oz were having a blast, lots of empty xxxx's.

Many thanks for your kind words about my wee machine - it's a 1938 Scout - what a fanatstic weekend - the Saturday at 12 o'clock when every bike was there was a trully magnificent sight!

By the way, forgot to mention, we did a fire sculpture on Saturday night to entertain the troops. Looked a bit like this...
