incinerator boiler for farm house.

hi guys, im looking for some guidance and info,
i am going to start a multifuel "waste" water boiler project to be plumbed into the central heating on my parents house.
it is to be big enough to be filled every 8-12 hrs.
heat a house with around 20 rads, open vented system to run in parrallel with an oil fired boiler and have its own pump as well as being able to isolate it from the system.
control wise i was going to use this

as for design
8-10" flue
6mm steel tube 900mm dia
3mm steel tube 1000mm dia
360 degree water jacket design
refactory insulated back plate with flue cut out, refactory insulated split front door with sight glass

whole thing 1000mm long

may install a back box at the bottom of the flue to creat an economiser using copper tube with detachable panel for ease of cleaning,

dou you think a water cooled baffle plate in the fire box in front of the flue be necessary?

something along the lines of a farm 2000 model or like this

Hi, I have been in a new house for about 6 months and have being trying to trace a strange looking wood burner. Turns out it is one of the Dowling range from your link.
Looks fairly straightforward to build, all straight panels and arc welded together. At one point I thought it was a DIY job. But, it does work well.
Happy to help with any info. Just a thought, this is a dry model. A back boiler should not be too difficult to fit.

hi Chris,

what size stove is it you have? what is it like on fuel/time between top ups,

the cutaway drawing on the web site gives me nearly all the info i need to build a boiler, but what are the air vents like on yours? there are no decent pics,
the 60 kw one has a 7"id flue so i wont think they will be that big.
any pics close up you can give will be a massive help.
im thinking around a 1m square boiler will be a nice size for decent loads, but it works out to around 820kg

Got info from their web site and I think I have a Sumo 8, that's the smallest in the range. A couple of compressed logs last for ages probably 2 - 3 hours with the air shut right off. Using it with the front open at the moment quite a lot of heat from scrap wood. No air vents on this fire, so use with ash pan pulled out just a bit. I've e-mailed Dowling to see if there is a manual on it.
