INA brand car spares?

got a choice of dayco or INA for a bit more money ...are they worth the ££

I had a Dayco timing belt tensioner fail in under 100 miles

INA used to make qualty German bearings. I have used them and been happy with their quality. Though quite a few years since I last used them.

I only ever supply / fit Gates products........anything else the client supplies with no warrenty from me.......any greif, I run em off..........

INA over Dayco any day of the week for me!

Gates/ina definitely,
Dayco (kevlar yes, normal only if I have too)

Genuine if avaliable,
Uprated preferable.

But then again depends on what it' on.

Dayco and ina are both oe suppliers to the VAG group, I've fitted loads of them and haven't had any problems with the quality of either.
The quality of gates kits has dropped massively over the last few years, the belts are still top notch stuff but the tensioners and other fittings can be awful.

I've had many of customer with engine failures with Dayco Timing Belt kits. They switched their hardware from OE quality I.e. Ina, Koyo, Skf etc to asian unknown stuff.
